  有问必答

Q : Would you please share with us the working experience in Apple? Please describe the abilities that are required by the job?

A : Systems Engineer – Electrical Engineering is a unique position allowing ownership of all things "EE" about a product, from architecture to component selection, schematic capture and board layout to validation and manufacturing. Furthermore, I enjoy the rigorous work system and sweet cooperation atmosphere here. Collaboration across teams is a key component of success at Apple. In addition, some international travel is required in my work, as our teams go on-site for manufacturing support to ensure success. It's one of the most exciting aspects of the job. In my opinion, a qualified system engineer must have great EE fundamentals. This means you have a deep understanding of why our discipline works the way it does; you've developed an intuition and can apply it to new topics because you understand the basics. Besides, experience designing high volume products from beginning to end and dealing with contract manufacturers is a huge bonus. Fortunately, I had these abilities and I got the position.

Q : How did you decide to apply to the Stanford University?

A : As a M.S student, undoubtedly, future employment is the most important thing I have to take into consideration when I was choosing the most appropriate graduate school. The Department of Electrical Engineering (EE) at Stanford University enjoys very close relationship with industry, both in terms of research and recruiting. Numerous companies participate in a variety of affiliates programs led by EE faculty, such as SystemX (previously Center for Integrated Systems), the Clean Slate Program, the Pervasive Parallelism Laboratory, and the Experimental Data Center Lab. Also outstanding alumni and faculty have cofounded some of the most successful high technology companies in the world and are consistently in high demand in industry. All these are benefit for realizing my career goals. One of the reasons behind my choice was this. Furthermore, there are many advantages to joining Stanford EE as a student. The Department of Electrical Engineering (EE) at Stanford University offer a broad and innovative set of research programs, supported by state-of-the-art research equipment and a large set of diverse classes. Coming here allows me to interact and build friendships with an impressive set of students, faculty, and staff from around the world. Even better, I can do all that and also enjoy the amazing Bay Area weather while taking a morning hike in the hills or surfing on some afternoons.
