Xiao Tan is currently a graduate M.P.A. student at Cornell University, with a concentration in Economics and Financial Policy. She recently graduated from Emory University with a dual degree in Art History and Economics. The analytical skills she gained from studying Economics, and the communication skills embodied in the process of studying Art History have intertwined and inspired her to study and analyze the economic situations of different cultures and sectors.
Between 2012 to 2014, she published 5 pieces of fiction -- a total of approximately 1,560,000 words. She wrote stories about people from different cultures and backgrounds, and was awarded as the Most Outstanding Writer of the Month of the largest Chinese online publishing/reading website in 2013. She is also a current columnist for the largest Chinese Education Magazine, Openclass, a publication with an annual circulation of 6,000,000. Her article published on the ZAILUSHANG magazine's official Wechat account in July, 2015 was the most viewed article (85,000 views) of the time.
