  有问必答

Q : Briefly talk about your job? And what abilities does it require?

A : As a Marketing Business Analyst, I work closely with the Marketing team to enhance the value of Marketing to Sales. I am mainly responsible for tracking and analyzing key Marketing inputs, both historic and forward-looking, including valuation of specific marketing programs, helping the team optimize spend, and optimizing lead costs by source. A qualified Marketing Business Analyst should excel at researching, quantifying and communicating actionable insights from marketing data. Besides, good team work spirit is also very necessary.

Q : What is the difference do you think between the teaching methods in marketing of China and the USA?

A : I did feel an obviously difference when I was studying in Columbia University. Previously in China, we laid more emphasis on knowledge in marketing theory. While in U.S, we were required to do a lot of case studies and presentations. As Columbia is also tapping into its vast alumni network to help students, there are plenty of opportunities for us to conduct field investigations and take internships. So here, my analytical ability and practical skills has been highly improved.
