Fiona Gao graduated from Peking University in 2011 with Bachelor of Economics, and then she furthered her postgraduate study at Cornell University where she received her Master of Economics Degree in 2014, and now she has passed the PhD qualification exam and becomes a PhD candidate in Department of Economics. Her research interests include political economy, macroeconomics, public finance and computational economics. She has rich teaching experience. She taught Money and Credit in Fall 2013, Applied Econometrics in Spring 2012. Fiona also got Cornell University Graduate School Conference Grant in 2014.

A : Different schools, different programs require different application materials, such as personal statement, statement of purpose and essay. Usually, personal statement focuses on your personal experience, statement of purpose lays emphasis on your study plan and essay has the specific topic. For a good personal statement, you should firstly browse your whole study career and sort out the experience related with the major. moreover,Pure narration gets less attention than the vivid feelings. So write your happiness, your sense of loss and your faith, and involve the admission committee in your world. Capture their hearts and you win.
